HR Manager

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established, multi‑site professional organisation that values its people and continuous improvement. As HR Manager you will own the operational delivery of HR services, aligning them with business objectives and UK employment legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement the people strategy.
• Manage employee relations matters including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Lead talent attraction initiatives using a multichannel recruitment approach.
• Oversee onboarding, training and development programmes.
• Drive engagement, retention and internal communication initiatives.
• Manage appraisal processes and support performance management across the business.
• Ensure accurate payroll inputs and liaison with external providers.
• Lead, coach and develop a small HR team.

Required profile

• CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a commercial environment, including HR Manager‑level exposure.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Proven experience handling complex employee relations cases.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Confidence using HR systems and data to inform decisions.
