HR Operations Administrator – Temporary (Birmingham)

About the role

We are seeking an HR Operations Administrator to join our busy HR function within a further education setting in Birmingham. The role offers a temporary full‑time contract with the possibility of becoming permanent, providing support across the entire employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective and efficient HR administration across the full employee lifecycle
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date HR records and systems
• Support recruitment processes, including advertising roles, onboarding and pre‑employment checks
• Liaise with staff and managers regarding HR queries via email and phone
• Ensure HR processes are completed accurately and within deadlines
• Carry out audit checks to ensure compliance and data accuracy
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function

Required profile

• Previous experience in an HR administration or similar role
• Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage workload and adapt to changing priorities
