About the role
We are partnering with a welcoming, Ofsted‑rated ‘Good’ secondary school in North Cambridgeshire to recruit a dedicated Humanities Teacher. The role starts in September 2026 on a full‑time, long‑term basis, initially fixed‑term until December 2026 with the possibility of a permanent contract from January 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in History, Geography and Religious Studies for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical and communication skills.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and colleagues to support school initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred but not essential.
- Experience teaching Humanities subjects in a secondary setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a combination.
- Ability to motivate learners of varying abilities.
- Passion for education and student success.
Required skills
- Effective classroom management.
- Clear communication and presentation skills.
- Curriculum planning and lesson design.
