Humanities Teacher – Secondary School (KS3-4)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in North Cambridgeshire from September 2026. This full‑time, long‑term role will involve teaching History, Geography and Religious Studies to Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of a permanent contract from January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across History, Geography and Religious Studies.
• Develop students' critical thinking and broaden their understanding of the world.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and colleagues to support school initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred but not essential.
• Experience teaching Humanities subjects in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a combination thereof.
• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for education and helping young people succeed.
