ICS Sales Director – South

About the role

Elis is seeking an experienced sales leader to head its Integrated Circular Services (ICS) business across the South region of the UK. Reporting to senior management, you will shape and execute the regional sales strategy, drive new‑business acquisition and expand key accounts while leading a high‑performing sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional new‑business sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Identify market opportunities through analysis of customer needs, competitor activity and industry trends.
• Set ambitious growth targets and monitor performance against revenue, margin and profitability goals.
• Lead, coach and inspire Sales Managers and the wider sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Recruit, develop and retain top sales talent across the region.
• Build strong relationships with major customers, industry partners and key stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations and close high‑value commercial agreements.
• Utilise CRM systems and sales analytics to inform decision‑making and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven success in a senior B2B sales leadership role with a track record of significant revenue growth.
• Strong leadership and coaching capability, experience managing high‑performing teams.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and relationship‑management skills.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that deliver measurable results.
• Strong analytical capability with experience using CRM and sales performance data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to influence at all levels.
