Immigration Paralegal – IAAS Level 1 or 2 Accredited

About the role

Our client, a top‑tier law firm recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers, is seeking a dedicated Immigration Paralegal or Caseworker. The role is permanent and based in London, supporting a busy immigration department that handles high‑net‑worth, business, and humanitarian cases.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Department Director and manage a diverse caseload of immigration matters, both Legal Aid Agency funded and private.
• Attend clients, take instructions, prepare applications and draft documents such as witness statements and letters of representation.
• Prepare and submit funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency and ensure compliance with Home Office requirements.
• Handle correspondence, manage evidence, and maintain accurate time‑costing records.
• Attend conferences, court hearings and, where required, act as an advocate on behalf of clients.

Required profile

• IAAS Level 1 or Level 2 accreditation (or equivalent immigration qualification).
• Strong client‑care skills with a sensitive and sympathetic approach.
• Professional, proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
