In-House Counsel – Construction and Building Safety

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Advise on major developer‑led and government‑funded remediation projects.
• Interpret and apply the Building Safety Act and emerging legislation.
• Handle complex claims against developers, contractors and warranty providers.
• Draft, review and negotiate construction contracts, funding agreements and warranties.
• Manage high‑value disputes in collaboration with leading external counsel.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent legal qualification.
• Strong background in construction and building safety law.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
• Deep knowledge of the residential property sector and related regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently.
