Incident Management Team Lead – Command Centre

About the role

This position leads the UK Command Centre for a large financial services organisation. You will own the end‑to‑end handling of major incidents, guide a high‑performing team and influence the future of IT Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the UK Command Centre, building a cohesive, high‑performing team.
• Manage major incidents from detection through service restoration.
• Chair technical and management bridge calls during critical events.
• Coordinate multiple technology teams to restore business‑critical services.
• Provide clear, timely updates to technical teams, senior management and executive stakeholders.
• Drive continual service improvement via post‑incident reviews and trend analysis.
• Support operational projects and enhance Incident Management processes.
• Develop reporting, KPIs and operational performance metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Incident Manager, Major Incident Manager, Command Centre or NOC Team Lead, IT Operations Lead or Senior Systems Administrator.
• Demonstrated ability to manage or coordinate major incidents in a large enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of Command Centre/IT Operations Centre functions.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
• Robust stakeholder management and a passion for continuous improvement.
