Inclusion Support Worker

About the role

The Inclusion Support Worker will provide targeted one‑to‑one assistance to learners aged 16‑18 who face emotional, social or wellbeing barriers. Working within Reed Further Education, you will help improve attendance, engagement and overall success through early intervention and personalised support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 support to learners with SEND, mental health or other additional challenges.
• Manage a caseload and develop individual support and attendance plans.
• Work closely with families and carers, including conducting home visits when required.
• Monitor attendance and engagement data to identify concerns early and support reintegration after absences.
• Collaborate with curriculum, safeguarding and support teams to ensure holistic care.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding processes.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (e.g., Health & Social Care, Youth Work, Education, Counselling).
• Experience supporting young people aged 16–18.
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with learners and families.
• Experience delivering one‑to‑one support and understanding of attendance, safeguarding and wellbeing.
• Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice or willingness to learn.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
