Indirect Procurement Manager (M/F/D)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Indirect Procurement Manager who will act as the European Lead Buyer for industrial packaging while also managing OPEX and CAPEX purchasing for our production sites. The role combines cost optimisation, supplier management and strategic sourcing to ensure continuity, quality and sustainability across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day purchasing of maintenance, spare parts, MRO, waste management, logistics, consumables and services.
• Lead CAPEX procurement for equipment, machinery and infrastructure, managing tender processes from specification to supplier selection.
• Define and implement the European packaging procurement strategy, driving standardisation and supplier consolidation.
• Conduct spend analysis, negotiate contracts and monitor budgets to achieve cost‑efficiency targets.
• Collaborate with production, quality, logistics and sustainability teams to align procurement with operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with REACH, GMP, ISO and internal CSR policies while promoting digital transformation (ERP, e‑procurement tools).

Required profile

• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of industrial procurement experience, including at least 3 years in a Lead Buyer or Category Manager role, preferably in chemical or pharmaceutical environments.
• Proven track record in OPEX and CAPEX purchasing, supplier negotiations and budget management.
