Infrastructure Engineer (ZTNA)

About the role

Join Lloyds Banking Group as an Infrastructure Engineer focused on Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). You will design, evolve and operate ZTNA platforms that protect critical applications using identity‑aware, context‑driven security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate ZTNA solutions across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform) and policy‑as‑code approaches.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to deliver secure, resilient services.
• Improve observability, telemetry and incident diagnostics for critical access services.
• Produce high‑quality engineering documentation and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Influence technical direction and uplift engineering standards across the Zero Trust portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven engineering mindset with hands‑on experience in ZTNA, remote‑access or identity‑aware access technologies.
• Experience with cloud network security, preferably Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong automation and scripting skills, Python preferred.
• Practical experience using Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS).
• Knowledge of identity protocols such as SAML and OIDC and Zero Trust principles.
