Interim Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join our Finance Placements team on short‑to medium‑term projects. You will work within Grant Thornton’s CFO Solutions, supporting clients through periods of change and delivering high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare half‑year and full‑year statutory accounts for large organisations.
• Liaise with external auditors and coordinate audit processes.
• Produce monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Consolidate group accounts and manage inter‑company transactions.
• Support finance teams during transitions, restructurings or system implementations.

Required profile

• Fully qualified member of ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in industry or a top‑20 practice with companies turnover of at least £50 million.
• Proven track record in financial/statutory accounting for listed or large private entities.
