Interim Transformation Accountant

About the role

An experienced finance professional is needed to join a leading healthcare organisation’s finance transformation team on a six‑month interim basis. Working closely with senior finance leaders and operational stakeholders, you will help modernise processes, improve reporting, and support strategic transformation programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support finance systems implementation, integration and optimisation.
• Review and enhance financial controls, reporting processes and governance frameworks.
• Partner with operational and clinical teams to identify efficiencies and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Deliver financial analysis and insights for strategic decision‑making.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare sector regulations and financial standards.
• Support change management and stakeholder engagement throughout transformation programmes.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Proven experience in finance transformation, change or project‑focused roles.
• Background in healthcare, NHS or another regulated sector is preferred.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, controls and governance.
