About the role
We are seeking an ambitious Internal Audit Manager to join our new Birmingham office. The role will be central to our West Midlands expansion, working with a growing portfolio of public sector and corporate clients.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, plan and deliver a broad range of internal audit engagements for public sector and corporate clients.
- Report directly to the local Internal Audit Director.
- Coach, mentor and develop audit staff, contributing to recruitment and team growth.
- Monitor project budgets, agree fees and ensure high‑quality service delivery.
- Manage client relationships, building trust and ensuring expectations are met.
- Contribute to business development activities within the sectors served.
Required profile
- Qualified with CIA, ACA or equivalent.
- Proven experience managing a diverse portfolio of audit clients across public, not‑for‑profit and corporate sectors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ambition to lead and develop a high‑performing audit team.
