Internal Auditor

About the role

We are looking for an Internal Auditor to join Menzies’ Outsourced Business Services team in Manchester. You will provide an independent, objective service that monitors business operations, ensuring effective risk management, governance and control processes for our not‑for‑profit public‑sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Attend meetings with auditees to understand business processes and objectives.
• Research and assess the effectiveness of risk‑management processes and record findings using audit software.
• Perform audit testing, identify control weaknesses and raise issues with actionable recommendations.
• Prepare audit reports for client managers and respond to any queries.
• Evaluate compliance with relevant rules and regulations and communicate findings to management.
• Manage stakeholder expectations through regular communication and updates.

Required profile

• Ambitious and motivated individual with strong academic foundations.
• Progress towards a professional qualification such as ACCA or CIA.
• Interest in working with not‑for‑profit and public‑sector organisations.
