IT Specialist – Infrastructure & Support

About the role

Cognition is looking for an on‑site IT Specialist to own and operate its technology infrastructure for a fast‑growing AI lab in London. You will be the go‑to person for identity management, endpoint administration, and day‑to‑day user support, ensuring the team can focus on building cutting‑edge AI products.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage productivity tools for engineering and GTM teams.
• Provide timely technical support for devices, conferencing systems, and remote staff.
• Develop automated workflows to reduce manual IT tasks.
• Administer Okta, MDM platforms, and SaaS services such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, and Zoom.
• Order, configure, deploy, and maintain laptops and other hardware across offices.
• Enforce security best practices and maintain compliance across all systems.
• Create and maintain clear documentation and an up‑to‑date inventory of assets and licenses.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a technical IT support role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Okta administration and Okta Workflows automation.
• Proficiency with MDM solutions such as Kandji, JAMF, or Intune.
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365 administration.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
