IT Systems Administrator

About the role

Albert Bartlett is seeking a dedicated IT Systems Administrator to maintain, configure and ensure reliable operation of its IT systems, supporting daily business activities in the potato industry.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain network servers and overall IT infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure optimal operation.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access rights in line with company policies.
• Implement and maintain security measures including firewalls, antivirus solutions and data backups.
• Provide technical support to staff and deliver training on IT best practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand and meet their IT needs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of systems and procedures.
• Participate in IT projects, contributing to system upgrades and improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks and infrastructure management.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with network security practices and protocols.
• Good problem‑solving, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are desirable.
