Java & Kotlin Developer – Agile, Test‑Driven (AVP)

About the role

Citi is looking for a Java and Kotlin developer to join its Prime Brokerage Technology team. You will work on the Core Prime Brokerage platform, applying Agile and test‑driven development practices while contributing to a high‑impact, global finance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver Java/Kotlin components for the Core Prime Brokerage platform.
• Participate in Agile development cycles, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions.
• Refine SDLC, Agile, and DevOps processes within the team.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Create and keep technical documentation up to date.
• Identify risks, support production issues, and rotate on‑call duties.
• Drive performance, reliability, and scalability improvements.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior analysts and graduates.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Java development.
• Proficiency with test‑driven development (TDD) practices.
• Comfortable working in an Agile, CI/CD‑focused environment.
• Ability to analyse complex tasks, break them into technical subtasks, and estimate effort.
• Willingness to coach and mentor less‑experienced team members.
