JavaScript Developer – Renewable Energy Tech (Cambridge)

About the role

We are looking for a talented JavaScript Developer to join a fast‑growing renewable‑energy technology company in Cambridge. The role combines front‑end development with exposure to a diverse set of modern languages and frameworks, offering a chance to make a tangible impact on sustainable projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using JavaScript, Rust, PHP, HTML, CSS and related libraries.
• Choose and apply the most suitable technology (e.g., THREE.js, Konva.js, TypeScript, Node.js) for each project.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, performant user interfaces.
• Continuously learn and integrate new programming languages and tools as project needs evolve.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in software engineering or web application development.
• 2:1 or first‑class degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent) with strong A‑Level results (ABB or equivalent).
• Enthusiasm for learning new languages and technologies.
• Strong coding knowledge in HTML & CSS.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a hybrid team environment.
