Junior CAD Technician

About the role

This is a hands‑on entry‑level position with a fast‑growing demolition contractor in the Midlands. You will support live projects from planning through to completion, developing your CAD and technical abilities while working alongside experienced project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update CAD drawings for demolition and enabling works.
• Produce site layout plans, demolition sequences and temporary works drawings under supervision.
• Assist pre‑construction and estimating teams with technical drawings for tenders and bids.
• Amend drawings based on site surveys, engineer input and project requirements.
• Maintain organised drawing registers and document‑control systems.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) gained through education or early experience.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
• Basic organisational skills to manage simple tasks and deadlines.
• Positive attitude, reliability and a proactive approach to development.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (or comparable CAD software)

What we offer

• Base salary £25,000‑£30,000 per year, dependent on experience.
