Junior Financial Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Junior Financial Assistant to join the finance team at YouLend in London. This role offers an excellent entry point for an ambitious individual who wants to develop a finance career in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the Accounts Payable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor and respond to queries in the finance inbox promptly and professionally.
• Assist with bank account reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• File and process supplier invoices in the accounting software with proper authorisation and coding.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gain exposure to different business areas.
• Maintain orderly, compliant financial records and support document filing.
• Support year‑end and annual audit processes.
• Provide assistance on ad‑hoc finance projects and tasks.

Required profile

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to analyse financial data.
• Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Confident communicator capable of handling internal and external queries.
• A relevant degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline is advantageous.
