Junior Technical Coordinator (Construction)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Technical Coordinator to support a main contractor on construction projects from pre‑construction through to on‑site delivery. The role acts as a vital link between design consultants, site managers and subcontractors, ensuring technical information is accurate, compliant and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing, reviewing and distributing architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Liaise with external architects, engineers and local authorities to resolve technical queries (RFIs) promptly.
• Maintain up‑to‑date project files, drawing registers and technical specifications using our document management system.
• Provide site delivery teams with clear technical data to minimise construction delays.
• Support compliance with Building Regulations, planning conditions and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years’ experience in the construction sector, preferably with a developer, main contractor or design practice.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational ability and confidence to communicate with site and corporate stakeholders.
• Good understanding of UK building regulations and construction stages.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
• Familiarity with BIM/Revit.
• Experience with document‑control platforms such as Viewpoint, Asite or Procore.
