Key Account Manager – FMCG Strategic Retail Account

About the role

Essity is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join its commercial sales team and manage one of its most strategic grocery accounts. You will work with well‑known hygiene brands such as Cushelle, Velvet, Plenty, Bodyform and Tena, using your cross‑functional experience to drive a growth agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain commercial relationships with allocated retail customers, delivering excellent service.
• Maintain P&L for assigned accounts, meeting sales and profitability targets.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to increase sales while achieving company profit goals.
• Secure new product listings through compelling category‑based presentations and agree launch and support plans.
• Lead a cross‑functional team to execute the company’s objectives and manage the P&L.
• Ensure accounts are settled according to agreed terms.
• Accurately forecast sales to align with customer and SKU group expectations.

Required profile

• Proven FMCG sales experience, preferably with one of the top four grocery retailers.
• Experience managing national FMCG accounts and financial budgets.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret sales and insight data.
• Resilient, proactive, and customer‑focused with a track record of building strong business relationships.
• Cross‑functional leadership experience and ability to own business plans.
• Effective communication skills with a passion for results.
• Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or relevant industry experience.
• Full driving licence.
