About the role
We are seeking a Lead Lunchtime Supervisor to oversee the midday break at a welcoming primary school in Birmingham. The role runs from September 2026 to July 2027, covering the daily lunch period from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm, Monday‑Friday.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise children during lunch and outdoor play, ensuring safety and a positive environment.
- Lead and coordinate a team of lunchtime supervisors.
- Promote respectful interactions and support positive behaviour among pupils.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate lunchtime activities with the wider school routine.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a lunchtime supervisor (essential).
- Confidence in managing groups of children during meals and play.
- Ability to work effectively within a school team.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and commitment to ongoing training.
