About the role
The Turing School is looking for an experienced Lead Practitioner to head its Maths department. This senior teaching position will involve shaping the vision for Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, driving improvement in standards, and inspiring both students and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, develop and implement a forward‑looking vision for the Maths curriculum.
- Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, modelling best practice.
- Motivate and support colleagues, fostering a collaborative culture.
- Analyse student data to identify gaps and drive targeted interventions.
- Contribute to whole‑school improvement initiatives and CPD programmes.
Required profile
- Outstanding classroom teacher with proven impact on student outcomes.
- Clear vision for raising Maths standards.
- Ability to lead, motivate and inspire both students and staff.
- Resilient, solution‑focused, and committed to inclusive education.
