Lecturer – Business (Full‑time, Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking a Lecturer in Business to join the Business department of The Bedford College Group. You will deliver high‑quality teaching across BTEC Levels 2‑3 and T‑Level programmes, supporting learners to achieve strong outcomes and progress.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Business lessons and assess learner work in line with awarding body standards.
• Plan and develop schemes of work, resources and curriculum materials.
• Monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
• Provide academic tutoring, pastoral support and liaise with parents/carers.
• Participate in departmental administration, curriculum development and marketing activities while upholding safeguarding and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Degree in a Business‑related subject.
• PGCE or Certificate in Education (or willingness to obtain).
• GCSE English and Mathematics.
• Proven experience teaching and assessing in further education (BTEC, T‑Level, NCFE, City & Guilds).
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
