About the role

The Legal Business Partner will join NHS Supply Chain at a pivotal time of transformation, providing commercially‑focused legal advice to senior leaders and commercial teams. Working hybrid across several UK offices, you will help the NHS put patients first by ensuring legal robustness in procurement and contract decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex legal work and deliver clear advice that enables senior‑level decision‑making.
• Shape procurement strategy, contribute to evidence‑based business cases and advise on contract structures.
• Draft, review and manage commercial agreements, embedding legal considerations from the outset.
• Act as the first point of contact for senior Category leaders, building trusted relationships across the business.
• Provide insight‑driven reporting on legal risks, options and emerging regulatory developments.
• Strengthen governance and risk management through robust audit trails and constructive challenge.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in legal and commercial workflows.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or legal professional with experience in procurement, contract law and commercial advising.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on risk mitigation and compliance.
