Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Manchester)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Trafford, supporting Key Stage 2 students. You will work closely with teachers and provide one‑to‑one assistance to pupils with SEND, helping them thrive academically and socially.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of learning activities and lessons for students with SEND.
• Provide one‑to‑one support or work with small groups of students.
• Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
• Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Experience working with SEND students is beneficial but not essential.
• A positive, flexible approach with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting individual student needs.
