Library Specialist

About the role

NABA London, the first international campus of Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, is seeking a proactive Library Specialist to manage and develop library services for students and staff at its Here East location in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and manage library services and physical areas to ensure easy access to materials and online resources.
• Maintain signage, update the library website and service guides, and notify users of new resources.
• Handle consultation and loan processes, and train students and staff on catalogue and online resource use.
• Support research and information‑consultancy activities.
• Develop and maintain the collection, including cataloguing, acquisition, disposal of books, magazines, DVDs and dissertations.
• Purchase library materials and manage subscriptions within the allocated budget, in collaboration with the Director of Education and Course Leaders.
• Oversee purchase orders and related administrative tasks.
• Prepare reports for quality audits, accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Collect and analyse usage data to inform future acquisitions and service improvements.
• Perform back‑office and student service activities related to the library.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a Humanities field.
• Minimum three years of experience in an academic or specialised library.
• Excellent organisational and cataloguing abilities.
• Experience managing library databases, cataloguing systems and circulation processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, course leaders and students.
