Live-In Care Assistant – Private Client (Faversham)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Live‑In Care Assistant to provide compassionate companionship and practical support to an elderly lady with mild dementia in her own home near Faversham. This is a regular 2‑weeks‑on, 2‑weeks‑off placement, allowing you to build a trusted relationship and deliver consistent, person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide genuine companionship, conversation and reassurance.
• Offer gentle prompts and support to maintain familiar daily routines.
• Prepare meals and drinks, and assist with light household tasks.
• Shop for groceries, run errands, and drive the client to appointments, activities and outings.
• Encourage independence and involvement in everyday life.
• Observe and report any changes in the client’s wellbeing.
• Maintain clear care notes and stay in touch with the Visiting Angels team.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting older people, preferably with dementia.
• Patient, kind, observant and able to build a trusted relationship.
• Comfortable working independently in a quiet, rural setting.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle for shopping and escort duties.
• Good spoken and written English and the right to work in the UK.
• Reliably commit to a 2‑week live‑in rota.

Required skills

What we offer

• £136 per day (£952 per week) plus a £50 weekly food allowance.
• Consistent placement with one private client and a predictable 2‑weeks‑on, 2‑weeks‑off schedule.
