Care Assistant – Evening Shift (Part‑time)

About the role

As a Care Assistant in a Barchester care home you will help residents enjoy each day by providing high-quality care and support. You will assist with daily living activities, offer companionship and ensure each resident receives one-to-one time. The role is a part‑time evening shift, working 5 pm‑8 pm on a rotating schedule of four evenings one week and three the next.

Key responsibilities

• Support residents with food and drink and follow individual care plans.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing and mobility as needed.
• Provide companionship and ensure each resident has dedicated one‑to‑one time.
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment in the care home.

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older people.
• Excellent communication and a warm‑hearted, empathetic approach.
• A proactive, can‑do attitude and the ability to work independently during evenings.
