M&A Tax Assistant Manager

About the role

The M&A Tax Assistant Manager will join a fast‑growing Transactions Tax team within a leading professional services firm. You will work on a variety of M&A assignments, supporting both buy‑side and sell‑side clients, and develop specialist expertise in transaction tax.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax due‑diligence assignments across buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.
• Assist with transaction structuring advice and identify tax‑efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance and other advisory specialists on multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Manage client communications and build strong relationships.
• Prepare technical analysis, reports and client deliverables.
• Coach and review the work of junior team members.
• Contribute to business development and client growth activities.

Required profile

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with UK Corporate Tax experience.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in Transaction Tax.
• Strong technical tax knowledge applied commercially.
• Excellent client management and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proactive approach to learning within the M&A space.
