Machine Operator

About the role

Our client, a leading aerospace organisation, is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to work on manufacturing aircraft interior products. The role starts ASAP on a 6‑month contract with the possibility of extension or permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to all health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and excellence.
• Run batches on CNC machines, including milling, turning, and 5‑axis operations.
• Perform part identification to ensure traceability of components and assembled parts.
• Document work processes to support production schedules efficiently.
• Use computer systems to record completed work accurately.
• Package finished goods in compliance with industry standards for transport.
• Contribute to the achievement of business delivery and quality targets.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Be open to cross‑training in other relevant skills as needed.

Required profile

• Solid background in engineering and operation of CNC machines.
• Strong work ethic and ability to learn new skills quickly.
• Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software.
• Solid understanding of safe working practices.
