Maltese Language Teacher – Part‑time Freelance

About the role

Language Trainers is seeking a native‑level Maltese speaker to deliver one‑to‑one language lessons for a beginner‑level adult group in Southampton. The role is freelance, part‑time, and the lessons will be held at the client’s office in the Shirley area.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct two‑hour, one‑to‑one Maltese language sessions twice a week.
• Prepare and adapt lesson materials for beginner learners aged 45‑55.
• Track progress and provide feedback to help students achieve basic communication goals.
• Maintain a professional and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Native Maltese speaker or holder of a relevant teaching qualification.
• Previous experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Valid work permit/visa for the United Kingdom.
• Residence within 20 miles of the Shirley area in Southampton.

Required skills

• Fluency in Maltese (native level).
• Ability to teach beginner‑level adult learners.
