Management Accountant – Hybrid, £50k-£55k

About the role

This growing, reputable organisation based in Guildford is seeking a Management Accountant. The role starts on a contract basis with the potential to become permanent and offers hybrid working after training. Immediate start is required for a candidate local to the area.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with clear commentary on variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare accruals and prepayment schedules.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and interest & loan schedules.
• Ensure system data is clean and up‑to‑date to support accurate reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and respond to auditor queries.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare annual budgets.
• Manage large volumes of financial data using internal systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar management accountant position.
• Qualified, QBE or part‑qualified accounting status (part‑qualified candidates considered).
• Advanced IT and Excel skills.
• Available to start at short notice.
