Management Accountant – Surbiton

About the role

Join a high‑growth, market‑leading organisation in Surbiton as a Management Accountant. You will work within a finance team of eight, reporting to the Head of Finance, and help shape the month‑end process while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role is primarily office‑based but offers flexible working and occasional work‑from‑home days.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical accounting processes including month‑end close, reconciliations and trial‑balance review.
• Produce monthly management accounts with commentary and weekly/monthly performance analysis.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis and investigations across reporting lines.
• Ensure compliance and filing obligations are met for all entities.
• Design and implement finance process automations and reporting tools (e.g., sales performance, client profitability, commission tracking).
• Prepare, review and submit quarterly VAT returns on time.
• Generate debtor ageing analysis and risk dashboards.

Required profile

• Actively studying ACCA, CIMA or QBE (candidates in final stages welcomed).
• Strong attention to detail and an ambitious mindset.
• Experience in an SME environment is beneficial.
