About the role

Ryder Reid Legal Ltd is seeking an experienced Manager of Knowledge & Research Services to lead its London research function and support strategic initiatives across its European offices. The role combines legal research expertise, competitive intelligence, and the implementation of AI‑driven tools to deliver high‑value insight for clients and the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day research and knowledge operations for the London office.
• Produce complex legal, business and market intelligence across multiple practice areas.
• Act as senior point of contact for research requests from European offices.
• Champion the adoption of AI‑powered research platforms and design training programmes for lawyers and business teams.
• Develop and maintain competitive intelligence programmes, including market insights, client intelligence and competitor analysis.
• Manage research subscriptions, electronic resources and vendor relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing knowledge or research services in a professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of legal research processes and business development support.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders and deliver actionable insights.
• Experience driving innovation and adopting new technologies, particularly AI tools.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AI‑enabled research and knowledge‑management platforms.
• Familiarity with competitive intelligence methodologies.
• Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend process improvements.
