About the role
Pubity is launching its first original news operation and needs a Managing Editor to shape the editorial vision and build the team from day one. You will define what news looks like at Pubity, decide which stories matter, and ensure they are delivered in a compelling, share‑worthy format across social and owned platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Own the daily news agenda, selecting stories that align with Pubity’s audience and unique voice.
- Define and communicate Pubity’s editorial proposition across news, culture, entertainment and internet trends.
- Launch original news social posts and establish a sustainable reporting practice.
- Recruit, mentor and lead an editorial team, setting standards and workflows.
- Develop a clear editorial voice that makes fast‑moving or complex stories accessible and native to digital platforms.
Required profile
- Proven editorial judgment and strong journalistic standards.
- Deep understanding of what drives audience attention, engagement and sharing.
- Ability to build and scale an editorial function with credibility and impact.
