Material Handling Team Leader

About the role

Lotus UK Manufacturing is seeking a Material Handling Team Leader to join its Supply team at the state‑of‑the‑art plant in Norwich. You will lead a team responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing goods safely and efficiently, supporting the production of iconic sports cars such as the Emira and Evija.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support, encouragement and direction to team members to achieve daily objectives.
• Ensure goods are received, accurately booked, safely stored and routed to the correct locations on time.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for quantity and location.
• Oversee safe operation of forklifts, Man‑Up Narrow Aisle equipment, tow tugs, lift stackers and powered pallet trucks.
• Plan job rotation, manage absence cover and deputise for the Supervisor when required.
• Report personnel and work‑related issues to the Supervisor/Manager.
• Drive 5S initiatives and continuous improvement within the department.

Required profile

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) or higher qualifications in Engineering/Supply Chain.
• Proven experience leading a team in a material handling, warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Organised, flexible, detail‑oriented with a proactive, right‑first‑time attitude.
• Good health, good attendance record and ability to work across all logistics functions.
