Maths Tutor – 1:1 Tuition (Part‑time, Temporary)

About the role

Spencer Clarke Group is seeking compassionate, experienced maths tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for young people across Manchester. The role is part‑time and temporary, supporting learners who are out of mainstream education or have additional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 maths sessions tailored to each learner’s needs.
• Adapt teaching approaches for pupils with ASD, ADHD, anxiety, SEMH or other SEN requirements.
• Support learners preparing for GCSE or Functional Skills maths qualifications.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate with families or schools as required.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year tutoring or teaching experience.
• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships and adapt learning materials.
• Legal right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo DBS and reference checks.
