M&E BIM Technician

About the role

You will join an independent Mechanical & Electrical Building Services consultancy in the West Midlands, delivering technical design and advisory services across a wide range of sectors. The role focuses on producing high‑quality 2D and 3D drawings and BIM models to support coordinated building services designs from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed M&E drawings and BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Support the development of coordinated design information across all disciplines.
• Assist engineers with model production from concept to construction stages.
• Ensure all drawings and models meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to resolve design clashes.
• Attend design meetings and contribute to project delivery.
• Maintain BIM standards and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience as a BIM Technician or CAD Technician within an M&E or building services consultancy.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of building services coordination and design processes.
• Ability to produce accurate, high‑quality technical drawings and models.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication with engineers and external stakeholders.
