Mechanical Estimator

About the role

A growing M&E business in London is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator, with the option of hybrid working. The role suits someone with a strong mechanical estimating background who can manage tenders from initial review through to submission and contract award.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate mechanical estimates for M&E projects.
• Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Produce material, labour, plant and subcontractor take-offs.
• Obtain and assess competitive supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare tender submissions, clarifications, risk analysis and adjudication packs.
• Work closely with procurement and the wider estimating team.
• Develop value engineering and cost-saving solutions.
• Support Design & Build tenders with preliminary sizing, take-offs and design input.
• Follow up submitted bids and support them through to contract award.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services and construction.
• Right to work in the UK.

• Contract Master experience desirable.
