Medical Receptionist – Private Healthcare Clinic

About the role

We are a newly established private primary healthcare clinic in Mayfair, London, looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our Front of House team. The role involves being the first point of contact for patients and supporting a multidisciplinary team of clinicians across General Practice, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Psychology.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide a warm, professional service at all times.
• Manage clinical diaries, schedule appointments and coordinate patient visits to ensure smooth flow.
• Prepare and dispatch letters, reports and other medical correspondence accurately.
• Maintain confidential, well‑organised patient records.
• Support and improve administrative processes to enhance clinic efficiency.
• Collaborate with clinicians and administrative colleagues to uphold high standards of patient care.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a front‑of‑house or medical administrative role, preferably in private healthcare.
• Excellent organisational abilities and composure under pressure.
• Confident communication style with patients, clinicians and external partners.
• Good understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
• Strong attention to detail in diary management, record keeping and written communication.
• Commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with healthcare software such as Semble or similar systems.
