Middle Office Representative – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

Join a dynamic team in Manchester as a Middle Office Representative, supporting a leading banking client. You will act as a primary point of contact for clients, manage complex transaction reconciliations and deliver timely reporting across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with clients to resolve complex inquiries and transaction issues.
• Perform custodian bank reconciliations for cash and securities on various accounting systems.
• Produce daily and monthly reports, including cash forecasts, position statements and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders such as BNY Mellon, external custodians, brokers and internal teams.
• Maintain trade static data, enrich trades and manage market claims.
• Handle reconciliation breaks, assign resolutions and support month‑end client statement workflows.
• Mentor junior staff and provide subject‑matter expertise on escalated queries.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of funds, derivatives, equities and fixed‑income products.
• Experience in securities or financial services industry.
• Ability to work independently and within a hybrid office environment.
