Midweight Designer – Packaging (Hybrid, Birmingham)

About the role

We are looking for a Midweight Designer to join our Birmingham studio on a hybrid basis. You will focus on packaging design for a world‑leading toy manufacturer, turning product concepts into compelling visual stories that inspire shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Design Directorate and Senior Designers to interpret briefs, brand guidelines and technical constraints.
• Challenge the brief and deliver both expected and unexpected creative solutions.
• Manage your time effectively and work closely with Resource Managers.
• Maintain open communication with Design, Client Service, Strategy and Operations teams.
• Contribute to internal design reviews, provide fresh perspectives and ensure executional consistency.
• Follow file‑setup, naming and server filing procedures and support studio inspiration events.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in a brand or packaging design agency.
• Strong storytelling ability and understanding of strategic, creative and commercial brand aspects.
• Interest in art directing and collaboration with CGI teams.
• Degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Illustration or a related field.

Required skills

• Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud – Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Proficiency with Keynote and basic knowledge of Sketch.
