Motor Hire Agent

About the role

Davies Group is seeking a Motor Hire Agent to join its Vehicle Replacement Group in Birmingham. You will act as the primary point of contact for parties involved in vehicle accidents, handling hire requests and supporting the claims process.

Key responsibilities

• Process vehicle hire requests from corporate clients using the in‑house system and meet agreed SLA’s.
• Book hire vehicles through the company’s preferred supply chain and arrange delivery.
• Manage a caseload of claims, coordinating telephone contact and updates with clients, insurers and third parties.
• Maintain accurate records of claim status and hire decisions.
• Provide advice to clients on claims and additional services offered.
• Ensure compliance with all technical and regulatory procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a busy administration or customer‑service role.
• Proactive problem‑solver with the ability to organise own workload.
• Quick learner with a natural ability to understand processes and technical information.
• Background in insurance or credit‑hire is advantageous but not essential.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
