Multi Skilled Fabric and Fire Door Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Fabric and Fire Door Technician to deliver a comprehensive fire‑door maintenance service for a major hospitality client in the Basingstoke area. The role involves ensuring compliance with building regulations and client‑specified service level agreements while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and certification of fire doors across various hotel sites, ensuring all work meets current legislation and building regulations.
• Install and finish plasterboard, skirting and boxing in a range of spaces, producing tidy, compliant installations.
• Assess each job, prepare accurate quotes detailing labour hours and material requirements, and liaise with the client on technical specifications.
• Update job logs, upload documentation and manage material requisitions, including purchasing additional supplies when needed.
• Support the Account Manager and Billing Team with query handling to facilitate invoicing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in general building services maintenance, preferably with fire‑door work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external clients.
• Competent in producing clear notes, emails and maintaining accurate records across multiple systems.
• Problem‑solving mindset with practical application on site.
