About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Design Manager to join our Kier Places team based in London/South. The role supports the delivery of a professional, comprehensive and sustainable design service across all delivery stages.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing design information and contractor‑designed portion packages throughout all RIBA stages.
- Support the establishment of the design team, ensuring scope and accountabilities are clearly aligned.
- Identify, record and mitigate design and project risks and opportunities.
- Support pricing assumptions to keep them aligned with design development.
- Provide information and monitor activity to ensure construction follows the approved design.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of HND/HNC/T Level or equivalent (desirable).
- Good understanding of technical construction aspects, including the RIBA plan of work and Building Regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Full driving licence (does not need to be UK‑specific).
