Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician will service the Southampton and Portsmouth areas, delivering a variety of building‑services tasks with a strong focus on plumbing and general repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out building‑services work orders across the two locations, prioritising plumbing tasks.
• Install and finish plasterboard, skirting and boxing in diverse spaces.
• Perform 1st and 2nd fix plumbing in hospitality environments and handle general repairs.
• Execute internal and external decorating projects.
• Request, verify and coordinate delivery of required materials with the helpdesk.
• Purchase additional materials or equipment when needed.
• Liaise with clients to address queries and explain job‑related issues.
• Confirm each job meets standards and provide paperwork for client records.
• Update job logs with notes and upload relevant documentation.
• Assist the Account Manager and Billing Team with query management to support invoicing.

Required profile

• Experience in general building‑services maintenance work.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to produce clear, professional notes and emails.
• Comfortable using multiple systems while maintaining accurate records.
• Problem‑solving mindset with practical application.

Required skills

• Plumbing (including 1st and 2nd fix).
• Plasterboard installation and finishing.

• Material procurement and inventory coordination.
