New Business Consultant - Commercial Insurance

About the role

This is a full‑time, hybrid position based in Greater Manchester, focused on generating new commercial insurance business across specialist sectors such as transport & logistics, construction, and waste & recycling. You will work closely with senior brokers to secure high‑quality appointments and drive growth for a rapidly expanding regional office.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective commercial insurance clients using outbound calls, LinkedIn, email campaigns and market research.
• Qualify opportunities and schedule appointments for Account Executives and Client Directors.
• Build and nurture relationships with business owners, directors and senior decision‑makers.
• Maintain and enrich prospect data in the CRM system and leverage lead‑generation tools.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Account Executives, Client Directors and leadership on growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial insurance sales or business development.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and comfortable working in a consultative, relationship‑led environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
